Traditionaly a textile is defined as a woven fabric made by interlacing yarns. 

The name derives from the latin verb textere- which means to weave.  But in the broad market sense the word

textile has come to include any fabric or cloth, even non-wovens, that have been made on a loom, knitting

machine, or even needled, sprayed, spun bonded, or entangled. 

If it's a structure of some sort it's a textile.
